Role overview

A Fishmonger apprenticeship trains you to prepare, display, and sell fresh fish and seafood to customers in a retail or market setting, developing expert product knowledge and practical filleting and preparation skills. You will provide expert advice to customers on fish species, provenance, cooking methods, and sustainability. This standard leads to senior fishmonger, buyer, or specialist seafood retail management roles.
