Metal recycling general operatives work in scrap metal yards and recycling facilities, sorting, processing, and preparing ferrous and non-ferrous metals for recycling and onward sale. Apprentices learn to identify and grade metals, operate processing plant, and meet environmental and waste-carrier compliance.
