Ordnance, munitions, and explosives technicians carry out the practical handling, inspection, testing, storage, and disposal of explosives and munitions in defence and civil environments. Apprentices develop a thorough understanding of explosives safety, regulations, and technical procedures to work safely in a demanding and safety-critical role. Qualified technicians can progress to OME professional or supervisory grades.
